About Me: Unfortunately, I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could. I have been a resident of the Austin area for around 20 years, and have loved every minute of it. If ever you need reminding how great Austin is, travel to Dallas or Houston for a week, and we will welcome you home with open arms. I have been called a great deal of things, not all of them good, but consider myself a modern renaissance man. I enjoy sewing, costuming, modifying anything and everything I can get my hands on, from electronics, to bikes, to motorized vehicles. I have a particular affinity for computers, although mainly it's an affinity for tearing them apart. I am currently a student transferring to Texas State to finish out my Bachelors in Computer Science. I am also a stay at home dad of a beautiful little girl who is growing up entirely too fast.

Interests: Books, movies, people who pique my interest, steampunk, Victorian, Edwardian, and period clothing, Europe, DIY (I think this interest mainly arose out of my need to be a cheap ass, but what can you do?), smiling babies, people in ties and suits (because you are the rebels in Austin!).

Books: I think it would be much easier to list authors here:
Orson Scott Card, Isaac Asimov, Dan Brown, Frank Herbert, Michael Crichton, Douglas Adams, Edgar Allen Poe, Joseph Heller, Oscar Wilde, Anne Rice, George Orwell, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sam Harris, Aleister Crowley, Mitch Albom, Mark Z. Danielewski, Robert Charles Wilson etc. etc.

Music: Mindless Self Indulgence, Rush, MXPX, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, The Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Toadies, Steve Miller Band, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Chiodos, Poison the Well, Bad Acid Trip, Black Sabbath, Blink 182, Bob Marley, Queen, Boston, Butthole Surfers, Cake, Yoko Kanno, Deadsy, DespairsRay, Dir en Grey, The Pillows, Gackt, Gorillaz, Jefferson Airplane, Journey, Leftover Crack, Malice Mizer, Maximum the Hormone, Ketchup Mania, Moi dix Mois, Deftones, Foo Fighters, Polysics, Primus, Reel Big Fish, White Zombie, Rolling Stones, Sublime, Switchblade Symphony, The Clash, Violent Femmes, The Doors, Norma Jean, Regina Spektor, Miyavi, Shiny Toy Guns, Saosin, Circa Survive, They Might Be Giants, and many more...
I am a fan of classic rock, metal, an jazz but love pretty much anything except rap and hip-hop. I am particularly enjoying the newer mathcore movement (yes it's real, look it up!)

Artists
: Some of my favorites include, Bosch, Dali, Helnwein, Da Vinci, Mucha, the entire "pin-up" movement.

Movies
: God... I could go one forever. Pretty much if you know of a good movie and think I haven't seen it, drop me a line, chances are I own it though.
